Export

It is possible to export diagrams and information/metadata as a PDF.

Prerequisites

To use the export functionality, the following is required administrative configuration. If there are problems with the export, this could be due to missing or incorrect configuration.

export

Compile content (No. 1)

All diagrams to be exported are selected using drag-and-drop or via the context menu in the tree view and transferred to the area under the "Export" tab.

Define export configuration (No. 2)

All necessary settings are made in the "Export configuration" area. The export can be configured using various parameters.

The export is then started via the "Generate document" button. As soon as the PDF has been generated, it is downloaded via the browser.

All settings in this area are reset to the default values via the "Reset" button.

Manage export configurations (no. 3)

The settings of an export configuration can be saved so that they can be reused.

The entire configuration is saved under a unique name via the "Save configuration" button. All saved configurations are available above the diagram view and can be selected directly with a click. The saved configuration is then applied immediately.

search

Execute search (no. 1)

Any search terms can be entered in the input field. The search query is triggered with "Enter" or the "Search" button. All search results appear below the input field. If no search results are found, a corresponding message appears.

Use search results (no. 2)

All search results are displayed separately by diagram type. The tabs for the individual diagram types take you to the list of diagrams found. The tab contains the diagram name, below which any diagram elements included in the search term are listed. If the search term was found in the metadata, a corresponding textual link appears.

All references in the search results are links. Click to navigate easily to the diagram, the diagram element or the diagram metadata.

Information & metadata

metadata

The description text stored on a diagram is displayed under Information.

The "Metadata" tab takes you to the metadata display. All available information is listed here one below the other. The data can be folded in and out for a better overview.

Linked diagrams

In addition, a list of all linked diagrams to which you can navigate from the current diagram is displayed here. Simply click on the corresponding link.

Show and hide legend

legend

The legend shows all symbols and associated descriptions of the currently displayed process. The arrow buttons can be used to show or hide parts of the diagram legend.
