Creating a backup copy

Perform this step before patching an INUBIT installation to be able to roll back to the previous version in case of problems.

How to proceed

  1. Simply copy all folders of the installation to be updated, except the _uninstall folder, to a backup folder outside the installation folder.

  2. Alternatively, you can also compress the installation folder into one file and move this to another location outside the installation folder as a backup file.

Restoring a backup copy

Perform this step if the patch installation was aborted or you cannot boot a patched system.

How to proceed

  1. Stop the patch installer if the process is still running.

  2. Remove any folders backed up via the Creating a backup copy step. The _uninstall folder will remain if not backed up.

  3. Copy all folders from the backup folder or compressed backup file back to the installation folder.
