Updating the INUBIT Workbench

You can update the INUBIT Workbench and the documentation with one click. If files are available on the INUBIT Process Engine for updating your INUBIT Workbench, the Update workbench workbench user guide 443 0 is available in the burger menu of the INUBIT Workbench.

As of INUBIT 8.1, updating the INUBIT Workbench can be done in background. The files ibis.jar, ibis_tools.jar, bcprov-jdk15on-<version>.jar, and available plugin jars are updated after clicking the Update in background button while users can continue working with the workbench.

When having patched the installation to INUBIT 8.1.14

In the <inubit-installdir>/client/bin directory, there is a new script to start the Workbench. It makes sure that former versions of the existing files (ibis.jar, ibis_tools.jar, bcprov-jdk15on-<version>.jar, and available plugin jars) are backed up manually before starting the update in background) are backed up automatically:

Linux: start_workbench_patch.sh
Windows: start_workbench_patch.bat

When not using the start_workbench_patch.[sh|bat] script, you have to make sure that the existing files ibis.jar, ibis_tools.jar, bcprov-jdk15on-<version>.jar, and available plugin jars are backed up manually before starting the update in background.
