Workflow Starter

Usage

Using the workflow starter, you can start workflows in test mode or in a time-controlled mode:

Starting workflows in test mode

If you want to start a workflow always by using the same input message for testing, you can save the latter directly in the Workflow Starter.

If you start the workflow, the stored input message is always used, irrespective of the start option.
Starting workflows in a time-controlled mode

A Workflow Starter, just like a System Connector, can control workflows in a time-controlled mode.

Static output file

Use static output file
- Option is selected
  
  Define an output file to start the workflow with.
  
  The file is transferred to the Workflow Starter as a copy without any reference to the original in the file system. Updating the file in the file system therefore has no effect on the Workflow Starter.
  
  You can either load a file from the file system or from the repository. The content of the file loaded can either directly or further on be displayed by clicking the respective button.
- Option is not selected
  
  The workflow is started time-driven if a schedule is defined or manually in the test mode.
  
  If a file was previously specified, it will remain in the Workflow Starter module until you remove it.
