Credentials Management

With the Credentials Manager, you can manage the credentials for third-party services, platforms and software in one central location.

Usage

To manage credentials using the Credentials Manager, you must first set a master password.

In the Credentials Manager, you manage the credentials required by System Connector modules to access third-party services, platforms, and software.

When configuring the relevant System Connector modules, use the Credentials Manager to provide the necessary credentials to the modules. To do this, select the respective entry from the list.

Open the Credentials Manager

Usage

To open the Credentials Manager.

Proceed as follows

  1. Call up in the INUBIT Workbench Burger menu item Configuration > Credentials Manager…​ or press the F8 key.

    → The Enter the master password dialog opens.

  2. Enter the master password.

    → The Credentials Manager dialog opens.

Adding Credentials

Usage

To add credentials in the Credentials Manager.

Prerequisites

The Credentials Manager is open.

Proceed as follows

  1. Click the administration guide 237 1 icon to add new credentials.

    → The dialog Add a new credential opens.

  2. Select the credential type from the Type drop-down list:

    • Username/Password
      If this option is selected, enter your desired Alias name, the Username, Password and Description of the third-party service, platform, or software.

    • Truststore
      If this option is selected, enter your desired Alias name, add the required truststore files, and a description.

    • Keystore
      If this option is selected, enter your desired Alias name, add the required keystore files, and a description.

    You should not use duplicate alias names, and if the credentials do not require a password, you may leave it empty.

  3. Click OK to save the credentials.

→ The new credentials are added to the list.

Truststore and Keystore can be added, but they are not currently functional.

Editing Credentials

Usage

To edit credentials in the Credentials Manager.

Prerequisites

The Credentials Manager is open.

Proceed as follows

  1. Select the row with the credentials you want to edit from the list.

  2. Click the administration guide 237 2 icon or press the ENTER key to edit the credentials.

    → A Question dialog opens pointing out that changing affects system connector modules using these credentials and whether you want to proceed.

  3. Click one of the buttons:

    • Yes to proceed.

      → The Edit a credential dialog opens.

    • No to abort editing.

      → Editing is aborted.

  4. Edit the credential entries according to your needs.

    You can only edit the Username and the Password, Truststore file, Keystore file, and Description fields. The Type and Alias fields are non-editable.

  5. Click one of the buttons:

    • OK to save the credentials.

    • Cancel to close the dialog without applying any changes.

Deleting Credentials

Usage

To delete credentials in the Credentials Manager.

Prerequisites

The Credentials Manager is open.

Proceed as follows

  1. Select the row(s) with the credentials you want to delete from the list.

  2. Click the administration guide 238 1 icon to delete the credentials.

    → A Question dialog opens asking you if you really want to delete the selected row(s).

  3. Click one of the buttons:

    • Yes to proceed.

      → A further Question dialog opens pointing out that deleting affects system connector modules using these credentials and whether you want to proceed.

    • No to abort deleting.

      → Deleting is aborted.

  4. Click one of the buttons:

    • Yes to delete the credentials.

      Deleted row(s) cannot be restored. The respective credentials have to be entered again manually.

    • No to abort deleting.

Searching Credentials

Usage

To search credentials in the Credentials Manager.

Prerequisites

The Credentials Manager is open.

Proceed as follows

  1. Click the administration guide 238 2 icon to open the search field.

  2. Type in the search criterion and press the ENTER key.

    You can search for an alias or a type.

    → The row that matches your search is highlighted.

  3. Navigate through the search results with the arrow icons next to the search field or by pressing the ENTER key if more than one row of the list fits your search.
