BPC Administration

The administration area contains all relevant information and setting options for the configuration, graphical customization and use of the BPC and its modules.

The administration area is only available for users with the role bpcadmin role or the right showBpcConfiguration role.

The BPC core already includes function modules that are embedded in the core. The corresponding setting options can be found in the administration area.

Call

The administration area can be called up at any time from any "location" in the application using the icon.
The icon is usually located under the BPC toolbar.

"Overview" tab

The tab Overview is the first tab in the administration area and is fundamentally different from the other tabs. All general information about the BPC, user settings and audit and performance logs can be found here.

Status

This widget is only available to users with the bpcAdmin role.

The Sessions component, which lists all active BPC sessions, is only available to users with the getSessionStatus permission.

The status tab provides an overview of the current status of the BPC. Information about various status values and associated detailed information is displayed. The values are summarized in different component groups.

Each individual component can be integrated as a widget in Process Dashboard.
The selection of the component is configured directly in the view of the respective dashboard module, see Add dashboard widget.

Users

The Users tab contains the following subsections:

  • Active BPC sessions - An overview of the active BPC sessions

  • Identity Manager - The User administration about the users configured for the BPC of the selected Identity Management System including the organizations, roles and rights assigned to them

  • Landing page settings - Landing pages that can be defined depending on organizations, roles and rights Landing pages

This tab contains the audit log in which the user activities are recorded and listed.

Modules

The administration area lists the core modules as well as the application modules included as standard and any additional application modules purchased. Each installed module has its own tab.

A further subdivision within the tabs are the tabs, some of which are repeated in the modules. These include:

  • General

  • Components

  • Plugins

Other tabs are module-specific and can therefore only be found in individual modules.

All settings of the Core Service module are described in Core Services settings.

This tab contains configuration parameters that relate to general information and setting options for the module.

Components tab

In this tab, components of a module can be created if this is possible for the selected module.
Module components are different versions of the module that have different names and can also be adapted and configured for different purposes.

Settings Parameters

Each row in the Parameters tables represents a setting.

The table view, like every table in the BPC, can be customized according to individual requirements, see Customize tables.

Settings with certain properties are highlighted by different color markers. The color marker is placed at the beginning of each row.
The properties of the settings are marked with the following colors:

Color Description

Green

Settings that deviate from their default values

Orange

Settings that are read-only

Red

Settings that are not supported by default (unknown)

Actions are available to users with appropriate rights at the end of each line: search for or delete the setting in the audit log.

Plugins are functions of a module that are integrated into another module and can therefore be accessed more quickly.
