Default Patch Steps
You can perform the default patch steps either automatically with the patch installer or manually.
First check before starting the patch installation whether there are additional patch steps that are to be performed manually BEFORE starting the patch installation, refer to List of version-dependent patch steps. |
In addition to the Process Engine, do also patch the Workbench installation(s). After patching the Workbench, there is a new After patching, you must redeploy the portlets in case of an existing portal. |

If additional patch steps concerning the Infinispan cache have to be performed, follow the description in the List of version-dependent patch steps chapter. |
Proceed as follows

First check if there are additional manual patch steps that must be executed BEFORE the patch installation starts and execute them.

Enable maintenance mode on the Process Engine to be patched.

If all processes that are still running on Process Engine are terminated (Monitoring > Queue Manager), shut them down.

Follow the instructions in Create a backup copy

Patch the shutdown Process Engine.

Run all manual patch steps that are required by switching from your previous INUBIT version to the new target version BEFORE the start of the Process Engine.

Start the Process Engine.

Disable maintenance mode on the started and updated Process Engine after it boots up.

Repeat the above steps for all INUBIT instances that have not yet been patched.

Finally, update all workbenches that you use.
Create a backup copy
Proceed as follows

Simply copy all folders of the INUBIT installation to be updated, except the
_uninstall
folder, to a backup folder outside the installation folder. -
Alternatively, you can compress the INUBIT installation folder into a file and move it as a backup file to another location outside the installation folder.
Restoring a backup copy
Perform this step if the patch installation was canceled or if a patched system does not start. |
Proceed as follows

Stop the patch installer if the process is still running.

Remove any folders backed up using the Create a backup copy step. The
_uninstall
folder will remain if it has not been backed up. -
Copy all folders from the backup folder or compressed backup file back to the folder of the INUBIT installation.
