Backup Connector

Usage

The Backup Connector saves the current system status or selected users or user groups and their data.

You can start the Backup Connector in accordance with a schedule to save data automatically at regular intervals.

Dialog Backup Connector Properties

This dialog offers the following options:

  • Backup file name

    • Name

Enter the name of the backup file and the file path.

If no file path has been added, the file is written into the directory <inubit-installdir>/inubit/server/ibis_root/ibis_data/backup in compressed format.

    • Write to output stream

If selected, the stored data is handed over to the workflow as output message, additionally.

  • Backup level

    • System

Saves the current status of the INUBIT software. The following directories are always saved:

      • INUBIT configuration <inubit-installdir>/inubit/server/ibis_root/conf

      • INUBIT Process Engine log directory <inubit-installdir>/inubit/server/ibis_root/log

      • User group admin (comprises all users)

    • Users/user groups

      • For saving selected users resp. user groups. All workflows, modules, users and their subgroups and (optionally) their repository files and monitoring files are backed up.

      • In order to save all user groups, select the group admin. Then, the Backup connector waits until all workflows have completed their current tasks.

  • Extended backup options (multitenant)

    • INUBIT monitoring database

      • System backup:

The complete logging database is saved, including statuses and timeouts of the processes (<inubit-installdir>/inubit/server/ibis_root/log).

      • User/user group backup:

The data of selected users/user groups is saved.

    • Repository

This option must be activated if system connectors are referencing the repository, e.g, AS4 Connector, EDI Adapter.

      • System backup:

        All repository data is saved.

      • User/user group backup:

The data of selected users/user groups is saved.

    • Tasks & Waitings

Only for system backups: Saves all tasks of all users, the messages, and the variables from waiting processes, which, for example, occur at Wait modules and Multiplexers.

If you select this option, the option INUBIT monitoring database is also set automatically.

    • History

The system version history is backed up.

If not selected, only the latest system version is backed up.
