Standard patch steps

By running the installer, all supported applications can be updated to the appropriate target version.

Always check if there are additional patch steps that need to be done BEFORE patch installation manually.

How to proceed

  1. Navigate to the system where the application to be updated is located

  2. Create a backup

  3. Place the installer file on the same system

  4. Stop the application

  5. Start the installer

  6. Follow the installer’s instructions. During the installation, you must specify the directory in which the application to be updated is currently installed.

  7. Let the installer run to the end. It ends by itself.

  8. For some components, there may be further adjustment measures after an update:

    1. Update of the Java distribution

    2. Application server update (Apache Tomcat)

    3. Update the Workbench

    4. Using the latest script files

    5. Patch Business Process Center (BPC)

  9. Start the application

Repeat the above steps for each application to be updated.

In case of failure, you can run the application from restore_backup and run the installer again.
